Job Title: Maths & Science Tutor (GCSE & A-Level)

Are you passionate about Maths or Science and love helping students succeed? Smart Tutors, a growing tutoring company based in Lancaster, is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Maths and Science Tutors to join our team!

Whether your background is in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Biology, we’d love to hear from you. We’re especially interested in tutors who can teach GCSE and/or A-Level students and are committed to delivering one-on-one, tailored lessons that make a difference.

✨ What You’ll Be Doing:

• Delivering 1:1 tutoring sessions in Maths and/or Science (GCSE or A-Level)
  
  

• Helping students build confidence, improve grades, and reach their academic goals
  
  

• Planning lessons with support from our experienced tutoring team
  
  

• Adapting your teaching style to suit different learning needs and abilities
  
  

🎯 What We’re Looking For:

• Strong subject knowledge in Maths, Science, or both
  
  

• Experience tutoring or teaching GCSE and/or A-Level students
  
  

• Friendly, encouraging, and clear communication
  
  

• Ability to make complex topics simple and engaging
  
  

• Organised and reliable, with a passion for helping students grow
  
  

✅ Requirements:

• Must be based in or near Lancaster (this role is primarily in-person)
  
  

• Able to teach at least one subject: Maths, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology
  
  

• Comfortable working with GCSE and/or A-Level students
  
  

• Teaching or tutoring experience (formal or informal)
  
  

• Enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one)
